The new Volkswagen Jetta comes with more detailed enhancements for the 2013 model year. The improvements are appealing and fresh.
The new 2013 Jetta is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged TDI diesel engine that produces a peak torque of 236 lb-ft and maximum output of 140 hp with a six speed DSG automatic transmission.
The DSG gearbox is well attached to the engine, generating direct power to the wheels just like in case of manual transmissions.
The TDI engine is located nearer to the gasoline engine and is free from turbo lag. The raised staccato purr level indicates that it is not a gasoline engine. It is also free from standard diesel clatter.
The EPA ratings for the new 2013 Jetta are 42 mph on highways and 30 mph in city.
The new 2013 Jetta model gets new trims for the interiors. The features include a parking brake handle, shift knob, and leather heated steering wheel. In addition to these features, new metal cuts are added to the door panels and dashboard to provide a more superior ambience.
The press criticised the new 2013 Jetta saying that it had cheap plastic interior, which is built to a high price. This seems to be true when we look at the door panels and few dash parts, but still it looks well-fitted and of good quality.
The other features of the new 2013 Jetta are Titan Black V-Tex leatherette interior, Fender premium sound system, MDI w/ iPod, cable, cruise control, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, 6-speaker audio system, power exterior mirrors, Keyless access push-button start, Aux-In Outlet, 60/40 split folding rear seat, adjustable armrest in center and front, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Volkswagen Intelligent Crash Response System, Driver lumbar adjustment, Bluetooth, RNS 315 Touch-Screen Navigation System, exterior trim and Chrome grille, six way variable front seats and six airbags.
Another improvement in 2013 Jetta is the power reposing seats that are comfortable and supportive. The adjustments to the seats and the steering wheel are pretty easy. Jetta, on the road, is solid and tight as one would expect from a German designed car.
The new 2013 Volkswagen Jetta constitutes a prominent opportunity in the price range for a midsize sedan. No other company is offering a diesel option for this value, while hybrid-only models aren’t really liked by many, for their own share of downfalls. The price of the new 2013 Volkswagen Jetta TDI starts from $ 22,990.
